Medical Requirements

Normally, the first step in your aviation career is to obtain a Department of Transportation flight crew medical examination prior to commencing training. Canadian applicants can make the necessary arrangements through Custom Helicopters. Applicants are responsible for their own medical costs. Intenational applicants should obtain an air-crew medical examination to Professional Licence level (Airline/Military standard) in their own country. International students will be required to present a Medical Certificate along with their Student Visa Application to the Canadian Embassy in their country. Commercial applicants may wear glasses or contact lenses that correct their vision to 20/45 or better.
