Flight Training
At
Custom Helicopters, we strongly recommend that prospective candidates be
prepared to complete their programs in three (3) to five (5) months for
full time students and within six (6) to seven (7) months for part-time
students. Previous flight experience to either Private or Commercial Licence
standard on aeroplanes is NOT a prerequisite for the Helicopter Pilot Licence
Program. Our Flight Training School begins in October and closes in May.
Custom Helicopters offers three (3) Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence Training Programs all of which meet the Department of Transport minimum training requirements. All three programs are academically identical and fully prepare candidates for the Department of Transportation written exam and flight test. Custom Helicopters offers Alternate Category Licences, as well as advanced helicopter ratings for professional upgrading programs, including the Helicopter Instrument Flight Rating.
International
Students
Custom Helicopters is pleased to be host to students from all over the world. International students should contact the Canadian Embassy in their own country to obtain a Student Visa to permit them to undertake studies in Canada.
