With our fleet of Sikorsky S-76C+/++ helicopters, outfitted with cutting edge medical interiors and operated by our experienced team of pilots, advanced care paramedics, flight nurses, and respiratory therapists, we can reach patients anywhere to provide them with on-board care.
NVG
Using the latest white phosphor technology, our night vision services are integral to search and rescue efforts, emergency responders, fire fighting, and surveillance. White phosphor allows us to view night scenes in exceptional detail with superior image quality, offering an incredible night vision experience.
Operated by Custom Helicopters, our Labrador fleet is available for a wide variety of services across many industries.
The Custom team would like to take time to recognize one of our employees for receiving one of the highest awards bestowed upon Canadian civilians - the RCMP’s Commanding Officer’s Commendation for Bravery. This award is given to individuals for acts of bravery that have an impact on a regional or provincial level.
In the summer of 2019, Nick Cantin, played a crucial role in a high-stakes manhunt that began in British Columbia and found its way to Manitoba. Despite the dangers, Nick flew multiple search missions over the course of the two-week search, aiding the RCMP Emergency Response Team in locating the armed suspects. Nick’s flying skills and knowledge of the local area proved invaluable to the mission. Nick went above and beyond to assist the RCMP and was instrumental in bringing the situation to a safe conclusion.
Nick was presented with the award in November 2024 by Lieutenant Governor Anita R. Neville and Assistant Commanding Officer Scott McMurchy (pictured).

Custom Helicopters just wrapped up a few days of subbing in for Santa’s sleigh on the Santa Express! 🎅🏼
In partnership with Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc. and Perimeter Aviation, we were happy to help Santa visit 13 MKO communities and 3 personal care homes to deliver cheer to the kids and elders alike! Even Santa’s buddy, Grinch made an appearance 😊

Last week, the Custom Helicopters team attended the CHC Safety & Quality Summit in Vancouver. It was another incredible event fueled by thought provoking sessions and engaging conversations.
Kendra Beaurivage, VP, Safety, Quality & Environment participated in a panel discussion with other industry professionals to share their key take-a-ways from the week’s events. Topics included leveraging AI technology and continuing to enhance safety training.
It was an excellent opportunity to gain valuable insights from leading industry experts and identify areas of action across our respective organizations.
Last week, Custom Helicopters attended the Airbus International Utility Summit in Vancouver.
Our President & CEO, Jed Hansen, participated in a panel discussion entitled “Changing Landscape of Firefighting Missions”. It was an insightful conversation where panelists shared their experiences, innovations and strategies in combating wildfires using helicopters, not only here in Canada but worldwide.
It was a great discussion and opportunity to learn from leaders in the industry.
